MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — A 20-year-old Wausau man in the Lincoln County Jail was involved in a fight last Thursday.
Officers say the unidentified man was having a discussion with another 40-year-old Wausau man which turned heated and eventually became a full-on physical fight. Correctional officers said several punches were thrown before the two men could be separated.
Investigators were brought in but only the 40-year-old man chose to be interviewed. The 20-year-old, who was deemed the aggressor, elected not to speak. He is now facing four counts of felony bail jumping, battery, disorderly conduct, and strangulation.
Both individuals involved in the fight were inmates in the jail. Their names have not been released.
