TOWN OF GRAND RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — Officers in Wood County have identified the victims of Friday’s house fire in the Town of Grand Rapids.
James Storeygard, 56, and Harold Blum Sr, 63, died in the fire. Both men resided in the home at 5721 Boulder Circle.
First responders were called to the scene at 2 PM Friday. The report indicated someone in the home needed “immediate help,” but when police arrived they saw smoke coming from the building and called for the fire department.
One body was immediately pulled from the building. The second was discovered after the fire was extinguished. The home is considered a total loss.
The investigation into the incident continues. It’s unclear at this time if foul play is suspected.
