GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — The Green Bay Packers will have an extra set of eyes on the practice field and in the film room this week as they prepare to face the Chicago Bears.
According to head coach Matt LaFleur, former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh will be in Green Bay through Friday to assist the offense with building a game plan against a tough Bears defense on Sunday. When asked on Wednesday about having Salah around, LaFleur said, “He’s a good resource to have around. Somebody that I can lean on in terms of a lot of different aspects… He helps me with special projects and always takes a dive into the opposition, the defense we’re getting ready to play, seeing if he can find some holes or some rules—some potential weaknesses in the scheme were about to go against.”
The Bears will enter Sunday’s game tied for seventh place in the league in takeaways thus far in 2024, seventh in scoring defense, first in passing touchdowns allowed, and seventeenth in yards per play allowed. No defense in the league has held opposing quarterbacks to fewer fantasy points each week than Chicago, and only Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has thrown for at least two touchdowns in a game against the Bears this season.
