MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Bucks expect to be shorthanded again on Saturday as several key players continue to deal with injury issues.
According to the team’s injury report and head coach Doc Rivers, who spoke to The Athletic following shoot-around on Friday, forward Bobby Portis (elbow) is doubtful to play, and shooting guard AJ Green (shoulder) will be a game-time decision for Milwaukee’s upcoming game against the Charlotte Hornets, while guards Ryan Rollins, Khris Middleton, and Damian Lillard have officially been ruled out.
When asked if Lillard’s concussion symptoms have improved, Rivers stated that Lillard is still having issues with bright lights and crowd noise during games, which caused him to not sit with the team on the bench during Wednesday’s 127-120 overtime win over the Detroit Pistons, and if he is unable to complete baseline tests on Friday, he won’t travel with the team to Charlotte.
The Bucks currently sit a half-game behind the Hornets and Pistons for the 11th seed and 10th seed in the Eastern Conference and could pass both with a win on Saturday. Pregame is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. CST on 93.9 The Game.
