WAUSAU, WI (WSAU)—For those looking for a homecooked meal this week, a few local places of worship will be opening their doors to provide free Thanksgiving meals.
According to their website, Thanksgiving dinner will be served at First Presbyterian Church in Wausau from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving. The church is located in downtown Wausau at 406 Grant Street and dinner is open to everyone without reservations.
Other area places providing free meals on Thanksgiving include St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, situated at W2604 County Road P in Merrill, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and St. Bronislava Church in Plover, which will serve Thanksgiving Dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The church is located at 3200 Plover Road.
