RIB MOUNTAIN, WI (WSAU) — Snowmaking operations are underway at Granite Peak.
In a Facebook post, officials said this week provides a “massive window of cold temps.” Snowmaking officially began Monday, with opening day now tentatively scheduled for December 6th.

The announcement was set to the classic AC/DC song “Thunderstruck” and showed crews turning on the snow machines on various runs throughout the resort.
Officials note that opening day is subject to change between now and next week.
