TOWN OF AUBURNDALE, WI (WSAU) — Officials in Wood County have identified the deceased victim of Friday night’s crash in the Town of Auburndale as a 17-year-old from Vesper.
Kasey Ramthun died at the scene of the two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Highway 10 and County Road P. Ramthun was a passenger in a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign and was sideswiped by an SUV.
Both drivers were taken from the scene for non-life-threatening injuries. They were identified as 17-year-old Trenton Lawry of Wisconsin Rapids and Breanna Karl, 26, of Milladore.
Ramthun was a passenger in Lawry’s vehicle.
The investigation into the crash continues. The incident closed down a portion of Highway 10 for several hours on Friday.
