MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Both of the Bucks’ biggest stars have been named to the NBA Cup All-Tournament Team after their play led to Milwaukee winning the NBA Cup Championship 97-81 over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night.
According to a post on X from the league, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard made the team alongside Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Rockets center Alperen Sengun, and Hawks point guard Trae Young.
Antetokounmpo secured a triple-double during the championship game: 26 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 assists, and averaged a staggering 32.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 2.5 blocks, and a 69.7% field goal percentage during the Bucks tournament run. Meanwhile, Lillard scored 20 or more points in all three of the Bucks’ final tournament games, including recording nine assists against the Magic in the quarterfinals and seven assists in the semifinals against the Hawks.
The Bucks will return to action on Friday night when they travel to Cleveland to face the Cavaliers, with tip-off set for 6:30 p.m. on WSAU. Forward Khris Middleton will be a game-time decision for the game as he continues to deal with flu-like symptoms.
