GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers will be without their top wide receiver for the remainder of the season and into 2025 after he suffered a torn ACL during the team’s loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Packers wide receiver Christian Watson suffered a torn ACL as well as additional damage to his right knee that may lead him to miss significant time, including regular season games next season.
In 2024, Watson caught 29 passes, gaining 620 yards and two touchdowns. He had the second-best average of 21.2 yards per catch in the NFL. In addition, he ranked third among NFL players with an average of 11.7 yards per target.
The Packers will look to Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks to fill in for Watson as the team hopes to make a playoff run starting with a win in Philadelphia on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on WSAU.
