Will voters in the Wausau School District see a referendum on the April 1st ballot?
The board will consider adding an operational referendum question during its regular meeting on Monday, though the amount is unclear. The money would go towards maintaining student programming, address ongoing maintenance needs, and help retain staff.
District leaders noted that the ask would have minimal impact on the school portion of the tax bill, thanks to the district’s previous debt servicing habits.
