GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – As the Green Bay Packers enter another off-season, the franchise is beginning to prepare for the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, which will be held in downtown Green Bay this coming spring.
According to the league, the Packers will draft either 23rd or 24th overall during the 2025 draft, depending on the outcome of Monday night’s playoff game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Los Angeles Rams. If the Rams win, the Packers will select at number 23, while if the Vikings win, they will select at number 24.
If they lose on Monday night, the Rams, who finished 10-7, would select No. 22. If they lose on Monday night, the Vikings, who ended 14-3, would select No. 24.
The top overall pick in April’s draft will belong to the Tennessee Titans, while the second overall pick will belong to the Cleveland Browns. The top five picks round out with the New York Giants drafting third, the New England Patriots drafting fourth, and the Jacksonville Jaguars drafting fifth.
The Packers are expected to focus on retooling several key positions, such as their secondary, during the draft as well as exploring possible free agent options like they did last year when they signed running back Josh Jacobs and All-Pro safety Xavier McKinney, as ESPN’s Ben Solak reported on Monday that the team will be in the “hunt” for Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins due to Over The Cap projecting Green Bay to have $51 million in cap space this off-season.
