MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin mens basketball team beat Ohio State 70-68 on Tuesday night at the Kohl Center.
The Badgers built a 17 point first half lead and held off a Buckeye comeback sealing the game as Carter Gilmore forced a turnover preventing a final shot.
The victory was the 200th of Greg Gard’s coaching career.
John Tonje led Wisconsin with 17 points. John Blackwell had 15 and Steven Crowl added 14 with seven rebounds.
The Badgers were 25-28 from the free throw line.
Wisconsin, now 14-3, 4-2 in the Big Ten, will head west for games vs USC on Saturday and UCLA next Tuesday.
