MOSINEE, WI (WSAU) — American Airlines will increase its passenger capacity at the Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee.
American has announced it will fly new Embraer 170 planes with 65 seats, offering more space and comfort for travelers. The airline currently runs smaller, 50-seat planes to CWA from its hub in Chicago.
The new aircraft will be in service by early June.
American Airlines also plans to add a third daily flight between CWA and O’Hare starting April 4th.
“American looks forward to adding more flights and dual-class service between Central Wisconsin Airport and our Chicago O’Hare hub,” said Jordan Pack, American’s Director of Domestic Network Planning. “We are pleased to offer travelers more ways to customize their experience as they travel with American to ORD and beyond.”
“This marks a significant milestone for Central Wisconsin Airport and our community,” said Chris Dickinson, Airport Board Chair at CWA. “The addition of the E170 aircraft not only elevates the flying experience with dual-class seating but also reflects the confidence American Airlines has in the growth of our region. We’re excited to offer our passengers enhanced comfort, convenience, and connectivity.”
CWA also offers non-stop flights on Delta to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport as well.
