MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — Some Northwoods snowmobile trails are scheduled to open Friday morning.
According to the Lincoln County Forestry, Land, and Parks Department, the Hiawatha Trail from SARA Park north to the Lincoln/Oneida County border will open at 8 AM.
No other Lincoln County trails will be opened at that time. Riders are asked to use caution, obey all ‘trail closed’ signs, and respect private land.
Trails in Oneida County will also open at 8 AM Friday. Riders should stay off all lake and river trails unless they’ve been marked as safe by local snowmobile clubs.
