MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Milwaukee blew a 1-0 lead after three innings as the Athletics scored a 3-1 win on Saturday.
The Brewers managed just three hits, including a double from Garrett Mitchell. Brice Turang and Sal Frelick each added singles.
Chad Patrick went six innings on the mound and took the loss, giving up two earned runs and seven hits.
Milwaukee went 0-2 with runners in scoring position and left two runners on base. Their lone run came on an RBI groundout by Caleb Durbin in the bottom of the 3rd.
Game three of the series is this afternoon with coverage starting at 12:35 on WSAU.
