MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — After losing on Friday night the Milwaukee Brewers split the other two games this weekend with the Chicago Cubs at American Family Field.
On Saturday the Cubs won 6-2 before the Brewers salvaged game three with a 4-0 win on Sunday.
Saturday the Cubs scored four runs in the fifth off starter Jose Quintana who took the loss. He gave up six runs on seven hits over five innings with six Ks and one walk. He falls to 4-1.
Rhys Hoskins hit his fourth home run of the season. Brice Turang had the other RBI.
Sunday Freddy Peralta shut down the Cubs with six innings of shutout ball giving up four hits with seven Ks and one walk. Jared Koenig, Abner Uribe and Trevor Megill added three shutou innings.
Daz Cameron had an RBI in his major league debut. Caleb Durbin had two RBIs.
The Brewers are now 17-18 and start a series with the Houston Astros tonight in Milwaukee. Pre game at 6:05 on WSAU.
