MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Trevor Megill snuffed out a Red Sox ninth inning rally as the Milwaukee Brewers beat Boston 3-2 on Monday at American Family Field.
The Red Sox took advantage of three walks and a hit in the 9th to pull within one but with the tying run at second, Megill induced a flyout from Connor Wong to preserve the win.
D.L. Hall returned from the injured list to pick up the win in relief of Chad Patrick. Jackson Chourio hit a first inning home run, his 8th of the year. Sal Frelick and Andrew Monasterio had the other Milwaukee RBIs.
The Brewers, now 27-28, will host Boston again tonight… pre game show at 6:05 on WSAU.
