Paul Hardwick
NEKOOSA, WI (WSAU) — The Nekoosa Police Department has arrested a 53-year-old man in connection with the death of Sara M. Wilkinson.
Paul Hardwick was taken into custody on Monday and faces several counts, including reckless homicide and possession of THC and cocaine with the intent to distribute. He also faces charges for maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers believe Wilkinson died after she ingested drugs given to her by Hardwick. First responders were called to his home on April 1st to find the 41-year-old unresponsive. Life-saving measures were not successful, and she died at the scene.
A search of the home turned up multiple illicit drugs.
Two other individuals, Jacob Keith and Tammy Grasley, are facing drug-related charges in connection with the search.
No further information about the investigation has been released. Hardwick’s initial appearance is scheduled for June 16th.
