JERUSALEM, ISRAEL (MetroSoure-WSAU) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says strikes against Iran will continue for as many days as it takes to remove the threat.
Netanyahu addressed his nation after Israel launched what it called ‘preemptive offensive strikes” against military and nuclear sites inside Iran.
There are reports that the commander-in-chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was killed in the attack. Iranian state media reports General Hossein Salami was killed in the over night strike, along with another IRGC general and multiple nuclear scientists.
Iran then launched more than a hundred drones against Israel in retaliation. A spokesperson for Iran’s armed forces said both Israel and the US will ‘pay dearly” for the attack.
