MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Jackson Chourio homered and Caleb Durbin recorded three hits to lead the Brewers to a 10-6 win over the woeful Colorado Rockies on Friday at American Family Field.
Chourio brought home three of Milwaukee’s six runs in the fourth inning on a home run to right field. He finished the game 1-4 with four RBI and two runs scored. He also recorded a walk.
Brice Turang and Sal Frelick also recorded RBI base hits in the frame. Christian Yelich went 1-5 with a double and two RBI.
Jose Quintana allowed seven hits and four earned runs over 5.2 innings but was credited with the win. A parade of relievers: Nick Mears, Jared Koenig, and Abner Uribe were all credited with holds. Kioenig doing so despite allowing two runs on two hits while recording one out.
Milwaukee climbs ten games above .500 with the win at 46-36, just two games behind the Chicago Cubs for first place in the NL Central. Same two teams again this afternoon from AmFam Field, with pregame coverage starting at 2:35.
