The Wausau Economic Development Committee will hear a pair of updates from staff on some high-profile projects, including the Foundry on 3rd.
Developers are asking for an 8.5-week extension of the completion deadline, from November 1st to December 31st, due to supply-chain issues “beyond our control,” according to a memo from Nick Patterson.
He notes that the delay is strictly supply-side, and the group is committed to delivering a finished product. Alders and other city staffers are invited to tour the progress, just as Mayor Doug Diny did a few weeks ago with members of the media.
The Committee will also consider releasing a request for interest for property on North 2nd Street, which was the subject of an open house earlier this month.
Tuesday’s meeting begins at 5:30 at City Hall. For more information, click here for the agenda and packet.
