Wausau Woodchucks
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Woodchucks beat the Madison Mallards 7-2 on Thursday afternoon at Athletic Park in Wausau. The second game of the DH was rained out.
Noah Malone led off the game for Wausau with a home run. Max Soliz also had a two-run homer in the first inning. Soliz and Malone have combined for 15 home runs this season and will both compete in the NWL All-Star Home Run Derby in Madison on Tuesday.
Josh Arquette, Cade Baldridge and Jake Berkland also had RBIs for the Chucks. Hunter Jones picked up the win with two innings of scoreless relief.
The Woodchucks and Mallards will make up the rained out game as part of a doubleheader today in Madison.
The Wausau Ignite softball team plays a DH today vs Mankato at Athletic Park.
