AMHERST, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Summer is in full swing, and that means it’s time for the Portage County Fair in Amherst. It’s held annually the third weekend of July, kicking off at 5 pm tonight and runs through midnight Sunday.
Admission is $6 per day, or $15 for the entire fair – admission is also free all day on Sunday.
Events include a carnival (tickets for rides are an additional cost), a truck and tractor pull, a fish fry on Friday, a Halloween-themed parade on Saturday, live music, food and drinks, and much more.
