MARATHON CITY, WI (WSAU) — A separate pair of motorcycle crashes have claimed two lives. One happened Saturday evening around 7:20 on Highway 107 near Marathon City and tho other happened just after midnight Sunday in Vilas County.
The Marathon City crash was of a single cycle carrying two people. One died at the scene, the other was hospitalized. Cause of the accident has not been released.
The other crash, in Arbor Vitae, was also a single motorcycle. It was found by a passer-by, still warm to the touch with nobody nearby. Officers responded and found the driver who did not survive the crash. The man reportedly lived near Arbor Vitae but his name was not released.
