WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Jordanian man accused of sexually assaulting a Central Wisconsin woman has been found not guilty of all charges against him.
A 12-person jury found Mohammas Alsayouri not guilty of three counts of second-degree sexual assault on Wednesday after deliberating for about two hours on Wednesday. He was then released from the conditions of his bond.
The 37-year-old was said to have forced himself on a woman after meeting her on a Muslim dating app. He had been facing up to 120 years in prison on the charges.
Alsayouri is also accused of entering the US illegally through the border with Mexico. ICE was notified of his status following his arrest in Marathon County.
