WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A winter weather advisory is in effect for much of Central Wisconsin as freezing rain overnight is creating slippery travel conditions.
The advisory has been posted for Marathon, Portage, Wood and Waushara counties until 9am Friday morning.
Expect icy conditions on all highways, surface streets, sidewalks and parking areas. Ice buildup on power lines could lead to liones being down and power outages in the area as well.
You are being urged to slow down and be aware especially as you come to stop signs.
