GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — The Green Bay Packers’ run defense couldn’t solve Baltimore RB Derek Henry, who went off for 216 yards and four touchdowns on 36 carries in a 41-24 victory on Saturday.
The game started fast, with both teams trading touchdowns on their first drives. That included an efficient six-play, 79-yard scoring drive for Green Bay that was capped when QB Malik Willis connected with Christian Watson on a 39-yard touchdown pass.
Baltimore would score the next 13 points before Willis, called his own number from 22 yards out to cut the Ravens’ lead to 20-14. Green Bay would get to within three by the end of the third quarter thanks to another touchdown run from Willis, but Baltimore would go on to score two touchdowns to ice the game in the final frame.
Willis, starting in place of Jordan Love, finished the game 18/21 for 288 yards and one passing score. He was also the team’s leading rusher, with nine carries for 90 yards and two TDs. Watson made five catches for 113 yards and one score. Romeo Doubs added three catches for 62 yards on three targets.
Xavier McKinney led the defense with 13 tackles.
Three of Henry’s scoring runs came in the first half.
The loss eliminates Green Bay from the NFC North title race, handing the title to the Chicago Bears. The Packers will close out the regular season next weekend at Minnesota. The NFL will confirm the date and time for that matchup tonight.
