Wisconsin Badgers
MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Badger men’s basketball team built an early 15-2 lead against UW-Milwaukee and never looked back, coasting to an 80-60 win on Tuesday.
Nick Boyd led the Badgers with 16 points. Nolan Winter added 14. Hayden Jones and John Blackwell both scored eight points. The Badger defense held Milwaukee to just 33% shooting from the field.
Winter added seven rebounds. Wisconsin shot nearly 50% from the field, despite going just 4-22 from three-point range.
Wisconsin held a 37-21 lead at the break.
Milwaukee was coming off a 77-55 win against Purdue-Fort Wayne in Horizon League play on Monday, making its first appearance in Madison since 2019. The game came together late last summer when both teams realized they had an open date to fill early in their conference schedule.
