MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) — Law enforcement will conduct a controlled training exercise at the Marshfield Medical Center campus on Thursday.
Activity will be centered on the Russell Lewis Building at 1000 N. Oak Ave. Community members and patients will see an increased presence of squad cars and uniformed officers, but officials emphasize “this is a scheduled and controlled exercise; there is no danger to the public.”
The exercise is designed to simulate a high-stress emergency, requiring cooperation between law enforcement, EMS, and Marshfield Clinic staff.
Officers say the training “reflects our continued commitment to public safety, preparedness, and the wellbeing of the Marshfield community. We thank you for your understanding and support as we take steps to enhance our ability to protect and serve.”
