WAUTOMA, WI (WAOW-WSAU) – A Wautoma man was arrested Thursday for possessing child pornography.
Wautoma police say the investigation began with a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, revealing images of child sexual abuse material.
Authorities conducted a search in the 300 block of Mt. Morris Avenue. Devon DeLeon, 23, was arrested. Police say he admitted to purchasing and downloading the material, which included children as young as three months old.
DeLeon is charged with eight counts of possession of child pornography. He appeared in court Friday, where his bond was set at $5,000.
The Wautoma Police Department was supported by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigations and its Digital Forensics Unit, in the investigation.
