MESA, AZ (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers got their first spring training win on tuesday with a 10-0 thrashing of the Athletics.
Tyler Black was 3-3 with a home run and six RBIs for Milwaukee. He his a two run blast in the first inning, a bases clearing single and a run scoring double.
Brice Turang had a 14 pitch at-bat that turned into a walk in the 3rd inning. He fouled off nine consecutive pitches. David Hamilton and Akil Baddoo had doubels that would have been home runs in most ballparks and prospect Luke Adams added a run-scoring triple
The Brewers used eight pitchers including six minor leaguers in the shutout.
The Brewers will face the Giants today…pre-game show at 2pm on AM1390 & FM 93.9 WRIG.
