PLOVER, WI (WSAU) — Vice President J.D. Vance will visit Plover as part of a tour in the days after the State of the Union address on Tuesday night.
White House officials say Vance will visit Plover on Thursday. Specifics on where and when he will speak haven’t been released publicly, though sources say he’ll speak at a local machining facility.
It is typical after a State of the Union address for the President and members of his cabinet to fan out across the country to speak about initiatives that were presented during the address.
During the State of the Union, Donald Trump announced that Vance would be in charge of investigating fraud in welfare programs in Minnesota. Trump alleged $19-billion was taken through fraud in food share, daycare, and medicaid fraud.
