Jordan Coyle
STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Trial dates have been scheduled for the Portage County man accused of having sexual contact with a girl last fall.
Jordan Coyle will face a four-day trial from May 12th to the 15th for one count of first-degree child sexual assault and another count of interfering with child custody. Investigators say he was violating the terms of his probation by living with the girl and her mother in a home in the Town of Almond.
Police issued an arrest warrant for him after they discovered the violation in early September 2025, but he managed to evade arrest for several days. The situation came to a head on September 11th when he took the girl and ran, sparking an AMBER Alert.
They were found two days later in a wooded area of Portage County. DNA evidence taken from the girl showed recent sexual contact between the two.
He returns to court for pretrial hearings on April 8th and 20th. In the meantime, he’s being held on a $1 million cash bond.
