WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Marathon and Portage Counties have announced all non-essential offices will be closed on Monday as Central Wisconsin continues to deal with a generational winter storm.
In Portage County, residents who need services are encouraged to call 715-345-5350.
Virtual appointments will also be available throughout the day in Marathon County, with residents encouraged to visit www.MarathonCounty.gov/
Both Counties have also closed their courtrooms. All in-person hearings, trials, and court events scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2026, are cancelled and will be rescheduled. Additionally, any filing deadlines falling on this date will be extended to the next business day.
Officials in Lincoln County have also announced facility closures for Monday.
