Wisconsin Badgers
MADISON, WI (WSAU) — Despite a loss in the Big Ten Tournament Semifinals, the Wisconsin Badgers earned a #5 seed in the NCAA tournament.
Wisconsin will meet the Panthers of High Point University from North Carolina in the first round of the West Regional in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday. The winner will meet either Arkansas or Hawaii in the round of 32.
Tip-off time will be announced later this week. The game will be heard on WSAU.
The Badgers are making their 29th trip to the Big Dance overall and are one of just five schools to appear in 25 of the last 27 NCAA tournaments.
Wisconsin’s women’s basketball team is also heading to the postseason, earning a spot in the Women’s Basketball Invitational Tournament. They’ll play at Oregon State in the first round, also on Thursday.
