Factbox-Storms knock out power to 266,000 across US Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and South

March 16 (Reuters) – More than 266,000 homes and businesses ​were without ‌power on Monday as severe storms battered the U.S. ‌Midwest ​and ⁠Mid-Atlantic region, according ⁠to data from PowerOutage.us.

Michigan was hardest hit with around ​123,765 outages, representing about ⁠2.4% of ⁠the state’s ​5.1 million customers, ​according to the data.

The ‌most severely impacted utility in Michigan was a ⁠unit of Consumers Energy with around 90,716 ⁠homes ‌and businesses ⁠without service.
