MOSINEE, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – With record breaking snowfall this past weekend, thousands found themselves physically blocked into their own homes.
And when Goskowicz’s snow machine broke down and left over 30 inches of snow on his drive way, he didn’t know what to do.
But with a call to Ryder Ress, Owner and Operator of Ress Outdoor Services, his problem was quickly resolved and at no cost. “It just makes me feel good as a person helping people out and it was really nice,” says Ress.
Ress posted on his Facebook of free services to remove snow only asking for a consideration to donating to local charities and received over 150 calls for help.
“I just encouraged people to, if they were able to, donate to one of those organizations and give back to the community,” says Ress.
Goskowicz stated it would have taken him 60 hours by hand to shovel.
“We would have paid anything for him to come…he really saved me a week and half of non-stop snowing. Beyond the expectations of what he did,” says Goskowicz.
Swiderski Equipment, partners with multiple local outdoor businesses including Ress, says being able to support him in this good cause was an honor. “I was super proud to hear that Ryder was out there helping members of the community and just asking for donations to charities of their choice,” says Michael Butalla, Vice President of Swiderski Equipment.
A partnership built on more than just business, but on showing up when it matters most. “The partnerships that we have with our customers, it’s like they’re part of the family and we just really appreciate everything that they are able to do for the surrounding communities. Like the snow removal efforts, it’s so important,” says Standford Swiderski, Construction Equipment Sales.
For Ress it was simple, “just making the world a better place.”
