MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Bucks could have their two-time MVP forward back this season. According to multiple outlets, Milwaukee wants to shut Giannis Antetokounmpo down for the rest of the season, but was rebuffed by the 10-time All-Star. Antetokounmpo has played in just 36 of the team’s 68 games this season due to various injuries. The 31-year-old is currently dealing with a left knee injury he suffered on Sunday.
The Bucks are set to begin a road trip. Milwaukee is set to take on the Jazz tonight. The Bucks beat Utah 113-99 at home earlier this month. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 27 points in that game, but will not play tonight due to a left knee injury.
Milwaukee enters the matchup at 28-and-40 this season.
Game coverage will begin at 7:30pm CT on WSAU.
