RIB MOUNTAIN, WI (WSAU) – Organizers estimated about 2,000 people atteded a ‘No Kings’ rally along Rib Mountain Drive on Saturday. There were similar protests across the state and country.
Organizers said they are opposed to the war with Iran, tariffs, and heavy-handed immigration enforcement. Organizers want their supporters to vote in the spring election on April 7.
Some who are opposed to the demonstration yelled at protesters from their passing cars. The event was peaceful.
There was a larger protest in Madison, where about 20,000 people marched to the state capitol. There were also demonstrations in Eau Claire and Oshkosh.
