Milwaukee Brewers
MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Brewers have owned the late innings in their 5-1 start to the new season. A 6-run rally in the 8th powered the Crew past the Tampa Rays, 8-2 on Wednesday afternoon.
Christian Yelich sparked the rally with a go-ahead two run single. Garrett Mitchell tacked on a two-run double. David Hamilton and Blake Perkins also had RBIs during the rally.
It was another strong pitching performance for Jake Misorowski. He worked six innings, scattering 4-hits and allowing 2 runs. He had 7 strikeouts while working into the 6th inning.
The Brewers are off on Thursday and then travel to Kansas City for a weekend series, their first road games of the season.
