Milwaukee Brewers
KANSAS CITY, MO (WSAU) The Brewers continued their hot start to the young season with an 8-5 win over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. The Brewers took 2-out-of-3 games from the Royals and improved to 7-2 this year.
Milwaukee got off to a hot start with a Christian Yelich RBI triple, followed by a 2-run home run by Gary Sanches. The Brewers staked starter Klyle Harrison to a 3-run lead in the 1st inning. He allowed 2 runs and 3 hits over 5 1/3 innings of work for his first win since May 30, 2025.
William Contreras added a double and 2 RBI. Jake Baurers had a pinch hit RBI double to extend the lead.
The Brewers will play their next theee games in Boston against the slow-starting Red Sox. Brandon Woodruff will pitch Monday night. Game coverage begins at 5:40pm CT on WSAU.
