TOWN OF HANSEN, WI (WSAU) — What started as an attempted traffic stop for speeding ended with a crash and a cocaine bust in the Wood County Town of Hansen.
Officers attempted to pull over a motorcycle on Tuesday afternoon for speeding, but the operator took off. The driver attempted to negotiate several curves during the chase and ultimately lost control of the bike and crashed.
A search of the bike turned up two bags containing a white, powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine.
The driver was identified as 23-year-old Wyatt Landphier, who is facing charges for possession of cocaine and felony fleeing. Court action against him is pending.
