WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — A man accused of killing his father in Nekoosa in July 2021 may have a plea deal with the state.
Court records show Jason Tourtillott will have a plea and sentencing hearing on May 27th for one count of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Thomas Tourtillott. Investigators found Thomas dead in his home on July 22nd after a call for an unresponsive person.
Investigators noted that evidence at the scene suggested foul play, and Jason was immediately named as a person of interest. Though the 27-year-old was not arrested until January 2025.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charge and faces a mandatory life sentence with only the possibility of parole left to the discretion of the Judge. A plea and sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 27th.
