MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly spoken about a deal that would send Giannis Antetokounmpo to South Beach for a package that includes a Wisconsin native.
According to NBA insider Gery Woelfel, the Heat have offered Bucks guard Tyler Herro, forward Jamie Jaquez Jr., center Kel’el Ware, the 13th overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft, and two future first- round picks for the two-time MVP.
Herro, who was born and raised in Greenfield, graduated from Whitnall High School and was named Wisconsin’s top high school player. He also led his team to the WIAA Division 2 state tournament.
This rumored offer comes only one day after ESPN’s NBA insider, Shams Charania, said that the Bucks are “officially open for business” and are working on “getting teams’ best offers for Giannis between now and the NBA Draft.”
Milwaukee currently has the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft, and many insiders and scouts believe the Bucks’ top targets are Tennessee forward Nate Arment, Michigan forward Yaxel Lendeborg, Baylor guard Cameron Carr, and Arizona guard Brayden Burries.
Other teams, including the Minnesota Timberwolves, Golden State Warriors, and Los Angeles Lakers, remain potential landing locations for Giannis, despite the fact that they lack the first-round draft picks that many insiders believe the Bucks desire.
