MADISON, WI (WSAU) – The University of Wisconsin officially has a new Athletic Director.
According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Wisconsin and the now-former University of Texas Deputy Athletic Director and Chief Operating Officer, Shawn Eichorst, have reached an agreement to make him the Badgers’ new Athletic Director, following Chris McIntosh’s departure in April to become the Big Ten Conference’s next Deputy Commissioner for Strategy.
Eichorst, who is from Lone Rock, Wisconsin, graduated from Marquette Law School in 1995. He formerly held high administrative positions at Wisconsin (Deputy AD), the University of Miami (AD), and the University of Nebraska (AD, 2012-2017).
