TOWN OF MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — A Merrill man is facing disorderly conduct, battery, and reckless endangerment charges after a report of someone shooting a nail gun at the Rock Island Resort.
Witnesses said Daniel Zulliger was becoming obnoxious with a group of people on a boat, including pushing someone overboard. He was kicked off the boat on the island, but remained disorderly. That included shouting and shooting nails at people and vehicles.
When officers arrived, they found the 24-year-old sitting in a pickup. He refused orders to step out of the vehicle, leading officers to remove him from the vehicle and handcuff him.
Officers have recommended charges including disorderly conduct, endangering safety through the use of a dangerous weapon, and resisting/obstructing an officer. Court action against him is pending.
