A new live collection of Ronstadt performances was released on Friday. It's the first live album of Ronstadts career. It features 12 tracks from her 1980 HBO special. Other new releases include a Don Felder solo LP called “American Rock n Roll”. He'll be joined by Sammy Hagar, Slash, Bob Weir, Mick Fleetwood and Joe Satriani. And Frank Zappa's classic double live LP “Zappa in New York” is celebrating 40 years and is being re-released in a remasterd and expanded LP and five disc set. First round byes for Wausau West, Northland Pines, Stevens Point with DC Everest and Wisconsin Rapids meeting up in a 4/5 game at Greenheck, and Marshfield facing Chippewa Falls in a 4/5 game as well. First round games have the East/Merrill Bluejacks at Rhinelander, Pacelli at Lakeland and Mosinee at Tomahawk. For the girls, The Central Wisconsin Storm have a first round bye. They will face the winner of Northland Pines/Black River Falls. Lakeland will play Rhinelander and Wisc Valley Union vs Medford in other first round games.
Also, the WIAA announced on Friday that seeding for high school football playoff first round action will be done by computer so coaches will not have to travel first thing on Saturday morning after their final regular game. The thinking is that there will also be less politicking and emotion in the seedings as well.
I'll have an early hockey game today as the Wausau East/Merrill Bluejacks make up a game at Wisconsin Rapids…the puck drops at 5pm on Foxsports Radio AM1390 & FM 93.9.
