(Milwaukee, WI) — For the first time in 31 years, the Milwaukee Bucks will open their regular season at home. The N-B-A schedule came out yesterday, and it has the Bucks hosting the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, October 28th.
In fact, Milwaukee opens with two home contests — the other being against Washington on October 30th. Normally, the Bucks play one-or-two games on the road before getting a Saturday night home opener. The last time they opened the season at home was in 1984 against Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.
The Bucks have increased their national stature by hiring coach Jason Kidd and winning 26 more games than the previous year. That pays off on the new schedule with three rare nationally-televised games on E-S-P-N, and one on T-N-T.
