TOWN OF SARATOGA, WI (WSAU) – The Wood County Sheriff’s Department is ending the search for a missing 73-year-old man who was reported missing 10 days ago.
Gerald L. Brody was spotted on a trail-cam after leaving his home on foot. Family members say he has a history of leaving home for extended periods of time.Sheriff Thomas Reichert revealed that Brody went back to his house after he was initially reported missing and left a note. It hasn’t been disclosed what the note said.
The search involved sheriff’s deputies, two area fire departments, the DNR and community volunteers. No trace of Brody was found. Several leads that had been reported to the sheriff’s department failed to pan out. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 715-421-8700. The search could be re-started based on any new leads that come in.
