ADAMS COUNTY, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — Two people have been arrested for supplying heroin that caused the death of an Adams County man last month.
Isaac Salinas was found dead on September 18th buried under a wood pile. He was reported missing a week earlier. Now, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, 55-year-old Debra Phillips of Friendship and 51-year-old Jacquet Jenkins of Adams have been accused of supplying him with heroin. Two others, Michael Mathewson and Susan Hall, have also been charged in his death.
Sheriff Sam Wollin is recommending that Jenkins be charged with first-degree reckless homicide-drug delivery, possession of marijuana, possession of fentanyl, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Phillips could be charged with first-degree reckless homicide-drug delivery and hiding a corpse.
According to the criminal complaint obtained by Newsline 9, Phillips and Mathewson tried to take Salinas’ body to the lake, but allegedly stashed him under a piece of plywood and returned to using more heroin.
